"To start a Law School and a Medical School just three years after the establishment of the University of Fiji, is short of a miracle."
These are words echoed by the President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, as he officially launched the School of Law at the University of Fiji campus in Samabula this morning.
Ratu Epeli said while there were several obstacles the new law school has been realized and this initiative will ensure equal education for all.
Dean of the School of Law, Devendra Pathik said the tuition fees have been kept affordable to ensure students are encouraged to take up a career in law.
Presently there are 96 students at the Suva campus and 20 in Saweni, who pay $3,000 per year for a full time student and $1,500 per year for part time students.
