There will be power disruptions in the Western Division from 5am to 6pm next Sunday due to urgent repair, maintenance and upgrade works affecting electricity supply in the division.

Energy Fiji Limited says to enable them to undertake the works, they will de-energise the transmission line that transmits power from the Nadarivatu Switch Yard to the Vuda Substation.

During this period EFL will supply electricity from its Diesel Power Stations at Vuda, Qeleloa, Nadi, Sigatoka and Rakiraki to meet the electricity demand of the customers in the Western Division from Matanipusi Hill in Serua to Raviravi in Ba and Rakiraki CBD.

With works in the Western Division, power supply in Tomuka, Tavakubu, Saru, Tawatawa and Vaivai in Lautoka, Raviravi Ba to Tavua, whole of Tavua and Nadarivatu, Tavua to Navesau in Rakiraki apart from Rakiraki CBD will be affected by the upgrade works.

Power supply to the remaining residents in the West of Viti Levu should not be affected.
