Poultry market records a boost in farmers
The opening up and liberalization of the poultry market has now seen a boost to the number of rural farmers.

Attorney General and Minister for Trade, Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum revealed this after a successful Agriculture Show last week where farmers were able to showcase their livestock.

Sayed Khaiyum said that the two main poultry providers, Rooster Chicken and Crest Chicken through initiatives such as the Small Farmer Holding, will be spending millions of dollars in investments that will also boost the economy.

He added that this will also see Fiji becoming less reliant on imports.
