The Co-Chair of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji Commodore Frank Bainimarama said they have received positive responses in relation to the draft People's Charter contrary to what has been said in the media reports.
Commodore Bainimarama stressed that the NCBBF has carried out its work independently and those opposing the draft Charter are just creating a cloud of doubt.
Bainimarama also said they have also received positive reactions from the 1,000 villages and settlements already visited.
Meanwhile, a NCBBF document as termed the issue of the People's Charter being illegal and can never be legitimate and implemented lawfully, as a myth. The document said there is no People's Charter yet and only a draft is now being put to the people of Fiji.
The NCBBF said if a majority of Fiji's people endorse and embrace the proposed Charter, then it will become the collective will of the people of Fiji, and this will give it legitimacy.
