Police will keep an open mind and investigate the cause of death of the Acting Resort Manager - ACP Waqa

 Police confirm they are conducting the necessary investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death of the 41-year-old acting resort manager in Wailoaloa, Nadi.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Crime Mesake Waqa says Police will keep an open mind and will investigate to establish the cause of the death.

ACP Waqa says they will not be drawn into speculation and assure the victim's family of conduct of a thorough investigation.

Police are calling for everyone’s patience and will comment once the investigation is completed.

General Manager of Crowne Plaza Nadi Bay Resort and Spa, Shaun Parsons says the hotel team are sad to confirm the loss of one of their team members.

Parsons says local police have confirmed that there is no criminal investigation for this incident.

He says they are in contact with their family and are doing all they can to support them.

Parsons says the thoughts of everyone at Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort and Spa are with the family and they ask for their privacy at this extremely difficult time.
