Police will destroy the last batch of methamphetamine today

The Fiji Police Force will destroy the final batch of the methamphetamine today as Operation White Wave continues on its last phase.

Police say they concluded the fourth day of operation yesterday where 4.15 tonnes of methamphetamine was destroyed.

They say as per the High Court Order dated 13th December, 2024, the destruction will take place at the Davuilevu Dignified Crematorium.

They say the operation will start at 10.25am today.

Police reiterate they have spoken to the Ministry of Environment to conduct the Environmental Impact Assessment and have been given the approval to do so.
