Police set-up two more checkpoints to monitor peoples movement in and out of Lautoka

Police Commissioner, Sitiveni Qiliho says they had to set-up another two checkpoints to control people trying to get past the Lautoka border.

Qiliho says they set up the checkpoints 200 metres away from the border as a means of controlling people from getting into Lautoka.

He says now they have five checkpoints which are being monitored by their officers.

He adds people are hoping to get in but this is not going to happen.

The Commissioner says they have the manpower to deal with the situation in Lautoka.
