Police from the Australian Capital Territory are seeking to extradite a Fiji man from NSW after he was arrested over the alleged murder of Canberra woman, Daniela D’Addario.

Channel 9 reports that detectives will travel to Bateman’s Bay today, with a warrant being sworn in to take the man back to Canberra.

D'Addario was reported missing on Monday after she failed to return calls and texts from family members over the weekend.

A body of a woman in a car that was pulled over in the NSW South Coast on Wednesday night is yet to be formally identified but police believe it to be D’Addario.

The male driver, believed to be 27‑year‑old boyfriend Josaia Vosikata, fled into the surrounding bushland.

He was captured by police after a 20‑hour manhunt.

Charges are soon expected to be laid.

The two were seeing each other for about four months.

A friend told the Daily Telegraph that D’Addario ended the relationship when she found out Vosikata had a family back in Fiji but they got back together for reasons unknown to her friends.
