Police are now investigating a complaint from a member of the public that National Federation Party parliamentarian, Parmod Chand had allegedly made some seditious comments to some people.
Chief of Intelligence and Investigations ACP Biu Matavou says a team from Suva had gone to conduct the investigation in Labasa and they are now compiling all the information.
Chand has said that he was questioned for about three hours at the Criminal Investigations Department Office in Labasa.
No charges have been laid as yet.
ACP Matavou says the file will be forwarded to the DPP for the sanctioning of the charges.
