Playing Tonga on their home ground is just like playing the Flying Fijians in Fiji and the players will need to have a great level of focus heading into this week’s match.

This was highlighted by Fiji Water Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne as they prepare to take on Tonga next Friday in Nuku’alofa in round 3 of the Asahi Dry Pacific Nations Cup competition.

Byrne says they know what the fans will be like in Tonga as they have a good support base as well just like in Fiji and that will be a great challenge for them.

The Flying Fijians currently lead pool A followed by Samoa and Tonga.

Fiji will take on Tonga at 3pm Friday.

Meanwhile, the USA Eagles defeated Canada 28-15 in round 2 of the PNC earlier.
