Some people have managed to cross the broken bridge in Luvu Lautoka after the flood waters receded in the last hour.

About 700 people were stranded this morning after a newly constructed bridge washed away due to flood waters this morning.

A resident from B.S Sharan road Aziz-ul Nisha told Fijivillage that people went to buy essential items and some are on their way back.

Meanwhile, two bridges in Vitogo Paipai in Lautoka are still under flood waters which is closed to all traffic.
