Pearls secure second win at Pacific Games after beating Samoa 62-40

The Fiji Pearls have secured their second win of the Pacific Games 2023 after beating Samoa 62-40 this afternoon.

Fiji led 32-22 at halftime.

The Pearls started their campaign on a high last night with a dominating 90-25 win over host the Solomon Islands.

Fiji will now take on Norfolk Island at 1.30pm tomorrow in their final pool match.

The semi finals will kick off at 11.30am Friday and the final will be at 9.30am Sunday.

Meanwhile, Team Fiji is in 5th place in the overall Pacific Games medal tally with 13 gold, 17 silver and 17 bronze.

New Caledonia is leading with 63 gold, 41 silver and 39 bronze, while Australia is in second place with 29 gold, 19 silver and 11 bronze.
