Based on the adverse weather condition looming over the western part of Viti Levu (Nadroga to Rakiraki), Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Kadavu and nearby islands, Lau and Lomaiviti Groups, the Education Ministry advises all parents and guardians in these areas to take note of the weather condition tomorrow, and use their discretion when deciding whether or not to send their children to school.

The Ministry says this decision has been made in liaison with the National Disaster Management Office.

All parents and guardians are advised to keep following the weather news issued in the media.

The Ministry will continue liaising with NDMO should there be a need to make any further decisions.
