A woman has raised serious concerns about the services at the Navua Hospital as she says there were no medicine at the Hospital in the weekend and there are not enough doctors to check the patients.

28-year-old Ranjita Chandra who took her sick 2-year-old son to the hospital on Saturday says after getting her son checked by the doctor, she was told that there are no medicine available at the hospital.

She says when she questioned why there were no medicines or if that was just the situation on the weekends, Chandra says she was then told to buy the medicine from the pharmacy or to come back if there is any emergency..

The mother of 2 further says this is an ongoing issue at the Navua Hospital as when she took her sick baby to the hospital earlier this year, there were no doctor to do checkups.

She says she is concerned with the services at the hospital as most people can not afford to consult a private doctor or buy medicine from the pharmacy.

We have sent questions to the Ministry of Health. They are yet to respond.
