Public Rental Board

The Public Rental Board is on the verge of demolishing the PRB flats in Nabua due to it being structurally unsafe.

Minister for Housing and Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa says one of the blocks has been certified unsafe for tenants to live in so they will be relocated soon.

Nalumisa says the PRB is on the verge of demolishing that particular block once they get the certification from the engineers who will directly advise them, then they can move on from there.

When questioned on the alleged drug activities being carried out at the Nabua PRB flats, Nalumisa says PRB officers are having regular monthly meetings with all the tenants.

Nalumisa says in those meetings the PRB officers are trying to raise awareness on drug issues, as well as conducting financial literacy classes.
