Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka and Attorney General, Siromi Turaga met with Minister for Sugar, Charan Jeath Singh in relation to Singh’s comments on Walesi in a meeting in New Zealand last week.
There were concerns that Singh had spoken about information from a cabinet discussion on Walesi and attacked the Chair of Walesi, Robert Khan.
In that discussion, Singh had also said that the amount spent by Walesi was around $123 million.
Rabuka confirms that the concerns were raised with Singh and he was warned not to reoffend.
