My Government is a caring Government, our priority is the people.

Those were the words of the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama while opening the new Fire Station in Korovou town yesterday.

Bainimarama says his government takes the threat that fires pose to families and businesses throughout the country very seriously.

He says with the establishment of this new fire station, the government will continue working overtime to extend the services of NFA as widely as possible throughout the islands.

Bainimarama says the NFA's presence will bring the community a newfound peace of mind, but we cannot forget that it is incumbent on all of us to do what we can to keep our people and communities safe from harm.
