PM has approved the use of vernacular language in the parliament –  Prof Prasad

Some people have deliberately tried to weaken the Hindi Language and this will not continue.

This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad, while speaking in the Hindustani language at the World Hindi Conference at the Civic Centre in Suva.

Professor Prasad says Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has stated that MP’s will now have an opportunity to talk in the Hindustani and iTaukei languages.

Assistant Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Sashi Kiran, Minister for Employment Productivity and Industrial Relations Agni Deo Singh, Chief Justice Kamal Kumar were also present at the event.
