I want to run the government like a business and modernize thinking towards a sound robust economy.
This was the main message given by Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama when addressing the Public and Private Sector Consultative Forum on the 2010 Budget at the Novotel Convention Centre in Lami this morning.
Government personnel, stakeholders, businesspeople and civil society are in attendance at the Forum with the theme "Growing the Economy and Reducing Poverty through Public and Private Sector Partnership".
Bainimarama addressed them saying that their main aim today is to formulate not only next year's budget but the budget for the next 5 years.
He said Fiji must work towards an economy that is not selective.
The Prime Minister went on to say that adjustments need to be made even though a few people may not be happy with the change.
The Forum which is currently underway ends this afternoon.
