PM briefs Indian govt on constitutional reforms
Ministers from the government of India have met with Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama who has relayed the progress in the constitutional reforms currently underway including the conclusion of the first phase of Electronic Voter Registration.

Commodore Bainimarama briefed the Indian Ministers on Fiji’s foreign policy, highlighting the opening of new diplomatic missions in the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Brazil, South Africa and Indonesia.

In addition, the Prime Minister spoke on Fiji’s discussions with the Group of 77 (G77) Secretariat having advanced well with the possibility of Fiji chairing the meeting in 2013.

Meanwhile, the Indian Minister for External Affairs, Shree Krishna commended Prime Minister Bainimarama on the developments that Fiji has achieved through its reforms.

He said that the Indian Cultural Centre in Fiji, as one of the oldest in the world, will continue to provide cultural programs through its centre in Fiji.
