Osadczuk scores a hattrick to help Argentina beat NZ 36-12 in Vancouver 7s final

Matias Osadczuk scored a hattrick to help Argentina beat New Zealand 36-12 in the Vancouver 7s Cup final this afternoon.

The win has seen them win their 3rd tournament of the 2023/2024 HSBC World SVNS series.

New Zealand took an early 12-0 lead in the first half after scoring two tries through Joe Webber and Brady Rush with a conversion to Akuila Rokolisoa.

Argentina came back and scored four tries in the first half to lead 24-12 at halftime.

The Pumas scored a further two tries in the second half with a conversion to seal the win.

In the Women’s division, New Zealand beat France 35-19 in the Cup final.

Argentina now extends their lead at the top of the men’s table with 78 points followed by Ireland and Fiji who are both locked at 54 points each.

In the Women’s standings, Australia currently leads with 72 points followed by New Zealand and France with 66 and 62 points respectively.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles 7s will be held this weekend.
