Outgoing Indian High Commissioner to Fiji Professor Prabhakar Jha, who has travelled all over the world, said there is no place on this planet like Fiji and its people.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Jha said the perception of Fiji which was implanted in his mind was totally incorrect when he took up office in September 2007, only months after the events of December 2006.
Professor Jha, who boasts of visiting almost all villages on the mainland, said the love and understanding he has seen amongst the various races in Fiji is also something that cannot be found elsewhere in the world and it needs to be preserved.
Professor Jha was every emotional about the thought of leaving Fiji when he was accorded a farewell ceremony by the Minister for Social Welfare Dr Jiko Luveni and her staff who acknowledged his contribution to the needy in the society.
