No link established so far in the alleged rape cases from Toorak and Holland Street

Police have confirmed that they have not established any link so far between the alleged rape cases from Toorak and Holland Street in Suva.

Chief of Intelligence and Investigations ACP Biu Matavou says the investigators are continuing to explore leads in relation to the alleged rape case in Holland Street.

He says the focus remains on apprehending the person responsible.

A tertiary student was allegedly raped near Holland Street in Suva last Friday morning.

According to the Police, the woman had taken a shortcut route near Holland Street when the incident took place.

Meanwhile, a 30-year-old man has been charged with one count of rape for allegedly raping a 19-year-old student in Toorak in November last year.

He will be produced in the Suva Magistrates Court today.
