Police Commissioner, Brigadier General Iowane Naivalurua said he cannot comment at this stage on whether other people will be charged after two former senior military officers were produced in court charged with offences under the Crimes Decree.
When contacted today, Brigadier General Naivalurua said that he cannot say anything on the matter at this stage.
Former Land Force Commander, Brigadier General Pita Driti and former Commander of the 3FIR Unit, Colonel Ratu Tevita Uluilakeba Mara pleaded not guilty to their charges and will reappear in court on the 1st of next month.
Driti has been charged with two counts of uttering seditious comments and one count of inciting mutiny.
Ratu Tevita Uluilakeba Mara faces one count of uttering seditious comments.
Both former senior military officers have been released on $2,000 bail with no surety.
Suva Magistrate Alofa Seruvatu has told both men to surrender their passports and not to interfere with any witnesses.
