About 4 months since the death of 35-year-old Richard Mock and after questioning 13 police officers, no one has been charged yet.

It is alleged Mock died in Police custody and allegations surfaced that officers dumped his body at a vacant lot in Nasau, Nadi in January this year.

Police completed their investigations and submitted the file to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions on the 9th of this month.

While responding to questions by fijivillage News, the ODPP says they have received the docket in relation to the death of Mock.

They say the police docket is currently being assessed and a legal opinion rendered in accordance with their standard procedures.

The ODPP says an update on the matter will be provided to the police once a decision has been made.

Police have yet to receive an update from the ODPP.
