There will no Fiji 7s team participating in the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s competition.

This has been confirmed to Fijivillage by Fiji Airways Men's National 7s coach Gareth Baber.

Baber says most of the players are playing in the Skipper Cup Competition and they will be playing in that competition right through.

He says some of the players may be playing for their different clubs in the Marist 7s and it is not up to him to stop them from participating in any of the local competitions.

Some national 7s players playing in the Skipper Cup are Alasio Naduva, Terio Tamani, Asaeli Tuivuaka, Rusiate Matai, Waisea Nacuqu, Napolioni Bolaca, Kalione Nasoko, Livai Ikanikoda and Sevuloni Mocenacagi.

The Marist 7s competition will be held from the 24th to the 26th of September, 2020.
