There will be no Great Council of Chiefs meeting if the provinces do not cooperate.
Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama said the GCC will not sit as a number of provinces have not submitted their nominees for the council.
He said this also raises the question about the relevance of the GCC if the chiefs do not want to assist in ensuring that the new council sits in the near future.
Meanwhile the case in relation to some chiefs challenging the dissolution of the GCC and sacking of the members, continues in court.
