Veteran Wallabies halfback Nic White will retire from rugby after tomorrow’s third and final test against the British & Irish Lions.

The 35-year-old, who has 72 Wallabies caps under his belt, says it has been a privilege to represent Australia, and he is proud to have one last chance in the green and gold jersey.

White also had a few stints in France and England before returning in 2019, and featured in the 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cups for the Wallabies.

He also helped the ACT Brumbies win the Super Rugby AU title that year.

White says rugby has given me so much—memories, friendships, and the chance to see the world, and now it is time to pass the baton to the next generation ahead of the 2027 home World Cup.

He says he is looking forward to spending more time with his family.

Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt called White the ultimate competitor and praised his decade-long contribution to Australian rugby.

The Wallabies take on the British & Irish Lions at 10pm tomorrow in Sydney.
