Expect a new phase of development in Nadi as the Nakovacake Holdings Limited plans to sell 700 acres of land valued at $60 million.
The piece of land is situated beside Denarau Island.
Manager Operations of Nakovacake Holdings Eseroma Nabuka said they have decided to invest for their children’s future.
Nabuka added apart from their development partners in New Zealand, a number of investors and developers have approached them at the Trade Pasifika which concluded yesterday.
He said the Environmental Impact Assessment has been done and they will protect about 60 percent of the mangroves.
The Nakovacake land is owned by three clans from Navoci and Namotomoto villages in Nadi.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of the Trade Pasifika Steering Committee Kaliopate Tavola was overwhelmed by the effort put in by local exhibitors exposing local products in the Pacific to the world.
He said that Trade Pasifika has set a platform for youths and women to engage in business.
