New Zealand wins South Africa 7s
New Zealand has won the South Africa Sevens title for the fourth year in a row by thrashing France 47-12 this morning.

In the first semifinal, New Zealand beat South Africa 12-5, while France defeated Argentina 10-7.

For the third place playoff, South Africa thrashed Argentina 35-0.

The tournament win by New Zealand sees them maintain their top series standings with 60 points, France second with 46 points, Fiji third with 44 points and South Africa in fourth position with 41 points.

As for the Digicel Fiji Sevens team, it was a déjà vu performance from last weekend.

For the second tournament in a row and in the Plate final, Wales met and defeated an ill-disciplined and handling error riddled Fiji side by a 26-14 win.

However, before that in the Cup quarterfinal, Fiji lost to France 15-12.

Again it was a penalty drop goal in the dying seconds of the game, similar to Dubai.

Meanwhile, in the Bowl final, Australia defeated Samoa 26 -14, the Shield final saw Spain defeat Zimbabwe 33-0.

The next tournament is Wellington where Fiji is in Pool D with Portugal, Australia and Scotland.
