New Magistrate sworn in by President Konrote
New resident Magistrate Ratu Jeremaia Lewaravu being sworn in.

President Jioji Konrote swore‑in new resident Magistrate, Ratu Jeremaia Lewaravu at the State House before senior members of the judiciary yesterday.

Lewaravu began his legal profession after completing his Bachelor of Law degree and subsequent Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of the South Pacific.

Prior to his appointment to the Fijian Judiciary, he was working at the Agricultural Tribunal since 2013.

He also has a Bachelor of Education degree from USP and has taught at various secondary schools prior to taking up a legal career.

The new magistrate has attended numerous training and conferences both in Fiji and abroad.
