Tikoduadua acknowledged the people of the Macuata Province for their initiative in partnering with the Fiji Police Force for the sake of their children's safety and well-being.

He says the traditional role of the police is to react to crime, they answer to the law, and once the law has been compromised then the police come in.

He also says the community is where offences are committed, and in the community as well is where it is best prevented.

Tikoduadua further says keeping the communities safe is foremost the responsibility of the community.
