Naupoto resigns as Opposition Whip after pledging support for PM

Independent Member of Parliament Viliame Naupoto says he has resigned as the Opposition Whip effective today to be fair to the Opposition as he has already declared his support to the Prime Minister.

While responding to questions by fijivillage News, Naupoto says he has no plans to join the People’s Alliance but has pledged his support for the Prime Minister.

Independent MP Jone Usamate temporarily takes up the position as the Acting Whip until an appointment is made.
