National Awareness on Senior Citizens launched

Senior Citizens of Fiji now have something to rely on this year if they do not have any form of beneficial income or pension.

With the launch of the National Awareness on Senior Citizens, the program now in effect will benefit those who are above the age of 60.

The new program will provide senior citizens free health screening, 20% discount on taxi fare on every 20 kilometers they travel and 50% discount on their bus fare. 

63 year old Miliana Druma Kalounivutia from Yavulo, Nahigatoka, Nadroga says this initiative will benefit her especially her health.


Kalounivutia added that her New Year resolutions will be keeping good health and make use of this initiative.
