Nadroga Rugby Union is aiming to set the benchmark for local rugby when they take on Suva in the Skipper Cup and Farebrother Challenge match at Lawaqa Park today.

Nadroga Rugby President Tiko Matawalu says they understand that Suva are the favourites as they have many players who have played in the national team but it will not let them hand over the Farebrother Trophy so easily.

Former Flying Fijian Napolioni Nalaga will play for Nadroga on the left-wing and former Fiji 7s player Joeli Lutumailagi will start on the right-wing while Fijian Drua player Apisalome Waqatabu is at fullback.

Jonetani Vasurakuta is starting at inside centre with Fijian Latui player Ifereimi Tovilevu at outside centre.

There is a lot of experience as well in the forwards with the hardworking Fijian Drua player Eremasi Radrodro at number 8, former Flying Fijian Rupeni Nasiga is at right lock, and Fijian Drua player Ratunaisa Navuma is at hooker.

The Skipper Cup match and Farebrother Challenge between Suva and Nadroga will be held at 3pm at Lawaqa Park today.

In other matches today, Nadi will take on Yasawa at 3pm at Churchill Park, Naitasiri will face Lautoka at 3pm at Ratu Cakobau Park while Namosi will face Tailevu at 3pm at Thompson Park.
