The Nadroga Rugby team is approaching it’s preparations towards this rugby season in a different manner due to the post-COVID-19 training plans.

Nadroga Rugby Union President Tiko Matawalu says the preparation for this season will be different as they are cautious about the players' welfare and they need to ensure that they follow protocols set by the Fiji Rugby Union.

Matawalu says due to the lockdown and restrictions, they could not prepare well for this season as four weeks is little time for them to develop a team for a huge game this month.

He adds that their players are slowly progressing in their fitness from last week and now more are turning up to training and he hopes that they will be in a better place come next week.

He says they are also hoping that BLK will continue to partner with them this season as most businesses have been affected by the pandemic.

The Skipper Cup match and Farebrother Challenge between Nadroga and Suva will be held at Lawaqa Park on the 25th of this month.
