Nadolo praises Vodafone Super Deans Competition, joins Capital Insurance as Brand Ambassador

Former Fiji Water Flying Fijian and former Crusaders and Waratahs winger, Nemani Nadolo, is impressed with the Vodafone Super Deans Competition, particularly noting the significant improvement in the players’ kicking skills over the years.

Nadolo was speaking today during his official signing as the Brand Ambassador for Capital Insurance in Fiji.

He says the strong support from parents, old scholars, and teachers, which contributed to a sold-out crowd in Lautoka last week speaks volume of the healthy competition.

The former Crusaders winger says the level of secondary school rugby has really lifted, and it’s obvious with international rugby agents attending these matches to scout local talent for overseas clubs.

He recalled watching one student confidently slot a 45-meter kick, describing the moment as a clear sign of the growing skill level among young players.

Now back home in Fiji, Nadolo says he is passionate about giving back to the community by mentoring young children and promoting grassroots rugby development.

A proud son of Namatakula, the powerful former winger is backing Natabua to take out the Vodafone Deans title next weekend and taking the trophy to the West.

Currently based in Nadi with his family, Nadolo plans to work closely with various stakeholders to grow the game at the grassroots level and nurture Fiji’s next generation of rugby stars.

In the U18 semi finals, Jasper Williams High School will play Muaniweni College at 1.30pm at Buckhurst Ground, while Natabua High School will meet MGM High at 2.20pm at the HFC Bank Stadium.

In the U18 Vodafone Super Deans semi-final at the HFC Bank Stadium, Nasinu Secondary will take on Natabua High School at 3.30pm, and Suva Grammar School will take on Ratu Kadavulevu School at 5pm.
