Mother and daughter admitted after restaurant fire
A 43-year-old woman and her 8-year-old daughter are now admitted at the Lautoka hospital following burns they received when the Natavora Water Bar and Restaurant burnt down yesterday morning.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the woman received 64% burns while her daughter received 38%.

Police are also trying to locate the 65-year-old husband and father to ascertain allegations that this was a result of an alleged domestic dispute.

Meanwhile, National Fire Authority Chief Executive Officer John O’Connor said they received a call at 8:29 yesterday morning, from staff of the nearby Hideaway Resort and Spa that the Natavora Water Bar and Restaurant was on fire.

O’Connor said when firefighters arrived at the scene at 9am the building was fully engulfed in flames.

Investigtions continue.
