The demolition of the Brisbane Broncos last night by the Parramatta Eels had more than 1.3 million views.

NRL reports this is the highest rating for a regular-season game since 2014.

NRL Acting CEO Andrew Abdo says more than 1.3 million viewers had tuned in to watch the opening match and this is an outstanding result for the game itself and their broadcast partners.

He adds Rugby League is part of the social fabric of many communities and to have live unscripted sport back unites us and provides entertainment to the people which is something they are looking forward to.

The Cowboys will take on the Titans at 8 tonight while the Roosters will be facing the Rabbitohs at 9.55 tonight.

Tomorrow, the Warriors will be playing the Dragons at 5 pm, the Sharks will take on the Wests Tigers at 7.30 pm while Melbourne Storm will play the Canberra Raiders at 9.35 pm.

On Sunday, the Panthers will take on the Knights at 6.05pm while the Sea Eagles will play the Bulldogs at 8.30pm.
