More rain expected this weekend as Tropical Disturbance 02F lies 500km west-north-west of Nadi

Get ready for more rain this weekend as the Nadi Weather Office is monitoring Tropical Disturbance 02F which lies about 500km west-north-west of Nadi.

They also confirm that the potential for Tropical Disturbance 02F to become a cyclone is very low.

The Nadi Weather Office says it is very slow moving and its movement is not defined yet.

A trough of low pressure associated with the Tropical Disturbance is affecting the Western and Northern parts of Fiji.

A Heavy Rain Alert remains in force for the rest of Viti Levu including Momi to Nadi, Lautoka, Ba through Tavua to Rakiraki, interior of Ba, Ra, Nadroga/Navosa, Serua/Namosi, Naitasiri and Tailevu and the Northern Division, Yasawa and Mamanuca Groups.

The system is expected to affect the country until Sunday.
