The Nadi Weather Office has warned people living in low lying areas of Eastern Viti Levu, Suva and Nausori to take precautions as more heavy downpour is expected tonight which could cause flash flooding.
Director Rajendra Prasad said the trough of low pressure to the North of the country is moving closer to the group which is causing heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, Naqali Bridge is still closed to all traffic which is under 2 meters of flood water and water continues to rise.
The Sawani/Serea road remains closed to all traffic. Most of the feeder and village roads in Naitasiri are closed.
In Kasavu village, Baulevu, a landslide has closed half of the road.
In the Western Division from Sigatoka to Lautoka, rainfall was experienced today however no reports of flooding.
Residents of Nasi, Baulevu and Muaniweni are taking precautions before night falls as flood waters in the river and village roads continue to rise.
Advisory Councilor, Hira Mani said some people are taking their livestock and other belongings to higher grounds.
