It is a special Eid celebration this year for Mohammed Nazeem Kasim who is with his family after 8-years on Eid today.
29-year-old Kasim, who lives in Korovesi Savusavu says he has not been able to celebrate Eid with his family for the past 8-years because of studies and work and he is very grateful to be with his parents and 2 younger siblings this year.
He says the month of Ramadan teaches Muslims self discipline, self control and generosity.
Kasim says his family follows an age old tradition of inviting friends of all races and faith to join them in Eid celebration.
He says Fiji being a multi cultural nation, it is very important to get together and share the rich diversity and learn about each other’s culture.
