The Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources is currently undertaking few initiatives to address the delays of processing lease applications.
While answering to a question from MP Sanjit Patel, Minister for Land Mereseini Vuniwaqa says they are undertaking a number of initiatives which they believe will decrease the number of complaints against the Ministry in delays to the processing of lease applications.
Vuniwaqa says she believes when all these initiatives come together the Ministry will be in a better position at the end of the year.
Vuniwaqa also assured the MPs that there is no problem in extending Agricultural leases but it is the process that is taking more of its time.
