Education is the key to unlocking a golden door of freedom, and the Coalition government's commitment to equitable access to education.

These were the sentiments echoed by Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro while handing over a 28ft Wooden Boat with a 25hp Mercury Outboard Engine and 100L outboard motor fuel to Namataku District School in the interior of Nadroga-Navosa.

This boat and engine will assist in transporting students from Navula Village to Namataku District School.

Radrodro says equity and accessibility are about getting the basics right.

He says the handing over of the boat and engine will mean that there is increased access and an opportunity given to the students.

He says the boat and engine will improve access to transport for students, particularly those in remote and maritime zones and says the Ministry has spent substantial amounts on boats and engines for various schools in Fiji.

Radrodro is calling on Head of Schools, management representatives, and teachers to encourage parents to send their children to school and work collaboratively with the school head and teachers.
