The military is seriously concerned following the revelation that a hand pistol was found in the possession of a 16 year old student at a school in Vatuwaqa yesterday.
RFMF spokesperson Major Neumi Leweni said it is a major concern that a student was found with the gun in the school compound and they will find out soon where the weapon came from.
He said they will test the pistol, find out all the information before taking further steps.
Fijivillage received confirmation earlier today that police are investigating the discovery of a gun at the Marcellin Champagnat Vocational School yesterday afternoon.
Assistant Police spokesperson Atu Sokomuri said they have spoken to the student and are hoping to get further information later today on where he got the pistol from.
Several calls made to the school today remain unanswered.
