White substances believed to be methamphetamine were found on a school compound in Vunidawa, Naitasiri.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Livai Driu says arrests were also made in Nausori Town and Vunimono.

Driu says the Northern Division also saw arrests in Savusavu for unlawful possession of marijuana with two suspects facing possible obstruction charges after attempting to destroy dried leaves suspected to be marijuana.

He says a separate arrest in Savusavu involved a man allegedly found with methamphetamine.

He further says in the Western Division, police made arrests at a juice stand in Lautoka along Vitogo Parade as well as in Sigatoka and Rakiraki.

ACP Driu says the success of the operations are also being aided by the sharing of information as community members are speaking out against the illicit trade.

He is urging anyone with the information regarding people involved in drugs to call Crime Stoppers on 919 .
