Masi is Super Rugby Pacific round 15 player of the week

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua centre Iosefo Masi has been selected as the Super Rugby Pacific player of the week after his outstanding performance in their 40-19 win over the Melbourne Rebels in round 15 of the competition last Saturday.

Masi scored a try and ran a total of 96 metres in 15 carries during the match.

The 26-year-old also beat 11 defenders, 2 clean line breaks, 1 offload and 1 try assist.

In defence, Masi made 10 tackles and completed 9 including 2 dominant tackles and 1 missed tackle.

Masi has been named to start at outside centre again this weekend when the Drua takes on the Blues in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific quarter finals this weekend.

The Drua will play the Blues at 7.05pm this Saturday at Eden Park, Auckland.

In other quarter finals this weekend, the Chiefs will play the Reds at 7.05pm tomorrow, the Hurricanes will host the Rebels at 4.35pm Saturday and the Brumbies will play the Highlanders at 9.35pm Saturday.
