The Manu Samoa 15s rugby team will run onto Churchill Park this Saturday with the hope of trying to repeat their performance from 2001 when they last defeated Fiji in Suva.
Since then, Samoa has been on the losing end in the last four matches in Fiji in 2004, 2005, 2006 and last year.
Samoa head coach Fuima'ono Tafua has 9 members of the team that played in the 2007 Rugby World Cup who have featured strongly in their win against Tonga and Japan.
Players like Justin Va'a, Census Johnstone, Filipo Levi, Ofisa Treviranus, George Stowers, Sailosi Tagicakibau, Seilala Mapusua, Uale Mai, Gavin Williams, Mikaele Pesamino and Lolo Lui are the big names who will feature for Samoa.
Manager Matthew Vaea said although Fiji does not have the core of their team that played in the World Cup, they will still be a strong side.
Fiji will take on Samoa on Saturday at 3.10pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka and you can catch the live commentary on our sister radio station Viti FM.
