Man charged for allegedly stabbing defacto partner

Police have managed to locate the man who allegedly assaulted and struck his pregnant sister with an iron rod following a heated argument about their compound in Nabua on Saturday morning.

A search had been carried out for the suspect following the incident.

Police confirm the man is yet to be questioned as investigators are awaiting the victim's medical report from Health officials.

The victim remains admitted at the CWM Hospital.

Police have also confirmed that the 26-year-old man who allegedly stabbed his defacto partner several times in Nadi following a heated argument has been charged with one count of Act with Intent to Cause Grievous Harm.

He will be produced in the Nadi Magistrates Court today.

The incident happened after a dispute about the woman socializing with her friends.

She remains admitted at the Lautoka Hospital.
