Suva High Court Judge, Justice Thushara Rajasinghe has further remanded a 36-year-old man of Nasinu in custody who was allegedly found with 1.4 kilograms of methamphetamine.
Kritesh Kumar is charged with being in possession of illicit drugs.
Kumar through his lawyer raised concern in court on the time state lawyer is taking in responding to his bail application.
The defence lawyer told the court that Kumar's wife has passed away and he needs to take care of his 5 and 7-year-old children.
Justice Rajasinghe has advised Kumar that the state will need more time to respond to his application because of the seriousness of the charge.
Bail hearing will take place on the 5th of next month.
